Phlo Girl Finister

The time has come now where a new wave of this deep house, portishead r&B has arrived to my ears. This is Phlo Finister.... an egyptian woman who seems to have the juice and is guzzling this shit in memory of all of us. She is Aaliyah, she is Winehouse, she is Lady Miss Kier and most importantly she's herself. With production sounding so smooth and seductive you can't help but to wonder where the hell she came from. Hope to see Phlo Finister at the wonderful Texas festival that is SXSW this year or in Houston soon.

MIA Documentary "Blacklisted"

This really needs to come out already, M.I.A.'s story shouldn't be held down like this. Interscope and Roc Nation needa do better. I would totally buy the documentary, and I never pay for anything.

2013 in a Nutshell

It's New Time

Just as much as the world turns, things transform within time. I believe we have entered an era where new types of music are emerging in a sense where people who actually listen to art in music for the aesthetics can discover them much easier if desired. It's why I am grateful for sites like Youtube and Soundcloud and people who legitimately type and post album reviews. It's people like myself who, most importantly, try to comprehend and read what journalists say about someone's work. There is a point where words are trusted which becomes belief and later philosphy.
